Chapter 33: Hickey
We ended up falling asleep for a couple of hours until someone knocks on the door.
âDominick! Ariana! Dinner will be ready in fifteen minutes!â Juanita shouts through the door. We jump out of bed and gather our clothes.
âI need to take a shower real quick," I say.
âMaybe I can join you?â Dominick suggests, grabbing me by the waist.
âNo, because then it won't be a quick shower, and we will be late for dinner.â I shove him away playfully.
âWell, how about you skip the shower, and we have a repeat of what happened earlier?"
âAs tempting as that sounds, I don't want to go to dinner smelling like sex. My body is already sore, and I think you gave me the world's largest hickey because my neck even hurts.â
âEither way, they're going to be able to know, baby. Come here, let me have a look at my masterpiece.â He chuckles, pushing my hair back. âHoly shit!â
âIs it that bad? What were you trying to accomplish? To be the greatest human vacuum?â I giggle.
âNo, baby, I marked you.â
âYou what?â I look at him, stunned, then run to the bathroom. I look in the mirror, and sure enough, there's a fresh bite mark in between my neck and shoulder.
âOh my gosh! You marked me!â Dominick runs into the bathroom.
âI'm so sorry, baby. I didn't lose control this time. I know that for sure. I had to do it when I was kissing your neck.â
âHow don't you remember how you marked me, Dominick?â
âI don't know, baby. Sometimes our bodies react on emotions. I was just in the moment. Consumed with how much I love you and seeing the babies today, it was just like instinct.â He says, with puppy eyes. âPlease forgive me, meu amor.â
I sigh. Why can't I stay mad at him for longer than five seconds!
âThere's nothing to be forgiven for, babe. You told me that you were going to mark me one day. I guess today was that day. Now I really need to take a shower. I can't be late for dinner. The food is already calling my name.â I say, closing the bathroom door.
After my shower, I step into the room and debate what to wear. It will be suspicious if you change clothes. They will know something was up. I decide to wear the same clothes I had on. Dominick is sitting on the bed watching football.
âYou ready to go eat?â I ask, doing a little dance. He chuckles, turning off the tv.
âYes, let's go eat," he says, giving me a quick kiss, and we head to the kitchen.
âDinner is about to be served,â Juanita smiles as we walk into the kitchen. I smile back and head to the formal dining room. My Gosh! This is gorgeous! The dining room is painted a beautiful burgundy, with golden drapes grazing the floor. They look exquisite together. There's a long dining table with a high-shine varnish, and right in the center hangs a beautiful chandelier.
Julian is sitting on one end, and Rosita is seated opposite.
